The Belgrade Forest is one of the most popular places in Istanbul who like to spend the day in nature and get away from the city life. The forest has nine national parks as well as few historical ruins.
Istanbul has a unique flora and fauna since it is located between two different seas which makes the city a host for more than 2500 species and 56 of them are endemic. In the forest you may come across variety of trees, birds and plants. Belgrade Forest has been the water source for the city throughout history, so lakes and aqueducts are part of the common scenery. The tour will give you a chance to taste börek (one of the traditional pastries filled with) in the park with Turkish tea or ayran, that’s the way to end a marvellous day in the most Turkish style.
