DESCRIPTION

Day of the Dead is one of Mexico’s most historic celebrations and it gives visitors a new sense of understanding death from a cultural perspective. This trip is for the traveler who wishes to go beyond the surface and deeper into the meaning of local traditions. The itinerary we have created also gives amazing insight into contemporary Oaxaca, its food, art and architecture. The City is, hands down, one of the cultural epicenters of the world.

This trip offers a mix of high end, as well as low key experiences. You will enjoy meals at wonderful local restaurants and markets, explore natural wonders, artisans, flavors and smells. As for Day of the Dead activities, explore the celebrations, parades and parties, but also go further and peek into the more traditional cemeteries where locals visit their cherished ones.

Though there is a fair amount of free time, there are activities planned every day. Please read carefully through the itinerary and descriptions to ensure that you are booking a trip that fits your interests and working schedule.
