Starting from Selina, we shall go towards San Antonio Metro Station to take the tram and the cable car (Metrocable) towards one of the highest areas in the city, a true city tour from the neighborhood to the mountain.
There, we shall start a walk through the natural trails of the Circunvalar Green Garden (Jardín Circunvalar), next to "Cosciente la 8", a group of people that works alongside the families that inhabit the commune, with whom we shall learn the importance of this green belt for community and its future.
After contemplating the city from one of its panoramic views, we will start our descent towards The Eastern Pine Grove (Pinares de Oriente) neighborhood, where we will know the community orchards managed by The New Horizons Gardeners Network; we will learn about their sowing, harvest and composting activities, as well as their entrepreneurship. Finally, we will finish our experience with a snack based upon the organic fruits of their orchard, a real connection experience with earth, the families and the future of Medellin.
Through this experience, you wil support the families of the community (victims of the armed conflict) and the New Horizon gardeners project sustainability.
